Running on Low Fuel

September 21, 2019

Good day today-about 25 km, 80% with company and the rest solo. Did not sleep well-indulging in too much of this heavy Asturian heavy food will cause you a lack of sleep and consumption of Imodium. Today was the longest downhill on the Primitivo. I landed in Castro, and got a tour with the Archaeological museum here in town. In 2005, with the help of aeronautical cameras specifically designed for the purpose, they discovered a settlement dating back over 4000 years. The original inhabitants, probably Celts named Castro, part of the Asturian tribe, established a residential community-underground. When the Romans took over the show, they built their accommodations their way-due to “claustrophobia”. 😄
